Meet Ella.  She's cute, smart, and personable.  She works as an elevator operator in an Art-Deco inspired hotel in Milwaukee.  She works long hours.  Extremely long hours.  In fact, she never leaves.

You see, Ella suffers from extreme agoraphobia, the fear of open spaces.  But that's OK - she's made herself at home in her workplace, eating, sleeping, and spending 90% of her time going up and down and listening to people talk as she does so. She enjoys her role as a passive observer in other people's lives.

Then she meets Ian.  And Ian's wife Melissa.  And Gillian, the woman that Melissa has hired to seduce Ian.  Things are getting complicated, and Ella has some choices to make.
