Lake Country Players 2011-2012 Season

Join us for our 52nd year!
September 16 - October 2 2011

The Dining Room  We open our 52nd season with a thought-provoking comedy of manners from A.R. Gurney.   Through a series of interrelated scenes centered around a single dining room, Gurney examines the evolution of life and traditions in modern middle America.
October 21 - November 6 2011

Phantom of the Opry  Forget Broadway!  Forget Paris!  Tim Kelly's musical restaging of Gaston Leroux's famous mystery beats them all for laughs!
December 2 - 18 2011

A Christmas Story  The only thing little Ralphie Parker hopes to find under the tree is a Daisy Brand Red Ryder BB rifle. He doesn’t simply want it—he’s consumed with an aching desire for it. Looming in the way, however, are alleyway bullies, major awards, freezing flagpoles, unsympathetic authorities and a certain horrifying Macy’s Santa. Based upon the classic motion picture, this play is a holiday treat everyone can enjoy—that is, until someone shoots their eye out!
February 10 - 26 2012

Stuck  Ella is just your average twenty-something working girl... who happens to suffer from agoraphobia and spends 90% of her life in an elevator car!  We are thrilled to offer this comedy by Neil Haven, described by Milwaukee theater critic Damien Jacques as "the funniest playwright SE Wisconsin has produced in decades."
April 20 - May 6 2012

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying  From the authors of GUYS AND DOLLS comes one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all time. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company man," the boss' whiny, nepotistic nephew, the office party, backstabbing co-workers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.
June 1 - 17 2012

Not Now Darling  Suspicious wives, mistaken identities and attractive young women hiding in closets!  We close our 52nd season with Ray Cooney and John Chapman's farce set in a London fur salon.
